About US

Renewed Life Baptist Church is a family friendly church that desires to see all people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We are a church that exists to raise passionate disciples and disciple-makers in our surrounding area and in every nation through worshiping God, discipling through community, reaching the lost through personal evangelism, and serving the church and God.

A Baptist Church was founded in Joy Community August 6, 1904. The church was named Calvary Baptist Church and was associated with the Baptist Missionary Association. They changed the name to Joy Baptist Church in 1909. In 1915, they built a new building at the intersection of Joy Wright Mountain Rd and FM 1252 and under the leadership of their first full-time pastor Joy Baptist Church became a member of the Southern Baptist Convention. On August 29, 2021, under the leadership of pastor Stephen Deason it was renamed Renewed Life Baptist Church.
